President of Aamra Manush foundation Shamima Islam Tusty was born on 29th September 1986 in Dhaka. She is the daughter of a freedom fighter. Reflecting upon her academic attainment, Shamima Islam Tusty passed her SSC examination from Moghbazar Girls High School in 2001 and HSC exam in 2003 from Ispahani Girls High School. She graduated from Eden Girls College and attained her MBA degree from the People’s University of Bangladesh.

Shamima Islam Tusty is a talented actress and dancer since her childhood.In 1992, she got admitted to Shishu Academy as a dancer; Then she got admitted to BAFA in 1996 and completed her four-year dance course in 2000. In 1994, she was selected by People’s Little Theater and started her acting career. During this time she had participated in many national and international theater festivals and events where she also took part in various dramas and national and international theater festivals and events. Her remarkable drama as a children theater activist is Shanghar, Lalu, Boby, Tasher Desh, Raster Chele, Banglar Mukh etc. All the dramas are directed by current DG of Shilpokola Academy Liaqat Ali Lucky.She also visited many countries like Cuba, England, Germany, Turkey, etc. IN 2005, she got promoted to Lokonatto dol. She participated in the drama of konjush, Shonai Madhob, Toposshi o Torongini, Shiddhi data and much more. In 2007, she started to work at BAF Shaheen College as a cultural teacher. Beside theater activities, she gets to establish and currently to work as an actress and model in the media sector of Bangladesh. She has participated a huge number of dramas both in TV shows and TV commercials.

Upon successful career in media sector, she has decided to participate on a prestigious association election, named as “Actors Equity” and being nominated as youngest “secretary of law and welfare” position for the tenure of 2017 & 2018. As elected by the members, she has won the election as “secretary of law and welfare” by the actor’s highest number of votes to become the first elected secretary of law and welfare of Actors Equity. Her voice was for the actor’s security and safety also to secure every single actors will get job in the media sector, No actor will be declared as poor or died without treatment. Better life than the best way to end early. Establishment of Aamra Manush Foundation: From the childhood as a daughter of a freedom fighter she saw that most of the young generation don’t know the true history of our holy Liberation war. From her heart, she always wanted that each every people especially young generation must know the right history of our Liberation War 1971.Besides that, she saw that many people of Bangladesh are suffering from basic human needs like food, shelter, education, health and much more. By seeing these suffering always melted her heart. She always tried to find a way to let the people know the true history of our liberation war and how to end people’s sufferings. For this reason, she and some of her patriotic students established Aamra Manush Foundation in 2016.After establishment, this charitable organization start­ed to work immediately to spread the spirit of the Liberation War 1971 among the young generation by the proj­ect named “MUKTIR ITIHASH SHUNO” which is holding 71 schools all over Bangladesh and reduce sufferings of the people of Bangladesh. After establishment, AamraManush Foundation has organized many charitable events in form 2016 including Eid ul Fitr, Eid u1 Adha, Flood, in winter and much more. Currently, she is living with a loving family of 4 members. Her father Mahib Ul Islam Edu is a great freedom fighter, and he is the first national flag career of Bangladesh and her mother is a housewife. Her younger brother is vice president of Aamra Manush foundation.
