Stories motivate minds to move forward, to be enlightened, to proceed holding the learnings and emotions of the past. Along the path of stepping towards the future, the past plays the role of encouraging the spirit to be free, to be true, to be bold. As a nation, we have such hundreds and thousands of stories of our birth, our long-earned pride, our great Liberation War of 1971. To build a prosperous nation these stories can tie the knot between our historic past and our new generation. The non-profit organization, Amra Manush Foundation is voluntarily working with this thought and spreading the spirit of the liberation war among the new generation by a project named “MUKTIR ITIHASH SHUNO”

Starting from the year of 2016, it is a running project which is being held and organized in 71 schools around different corners of Bangladesh till now. With the vision to aware our future generation of the history of our Liberation War, Amra Manush Foundation started this campaign from scratch. The true essence of the year 1971 cannot be understood without the presence of the brave freedom fighters of that time. Thus, over the years in this inspiring campaign more than 142 freedom fighters have shared their experiences and stories with the students of schools and collages of many districts of our country.

In each school we have arranged a grand program throughout the day where students participated heartfully. Photo galleries were organized in the school & college campuses where the pictures of our Liberation War adorned the environment. Inspiring Videos about Freedom Fighters and the Liberation War were shown to the young students to encourage them to be brave enough to carry the glory forward. To ignite the fire of bravery and leadership among the students, stories about the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman were shared among the students. Moreover, different competitions like quiz competition, art competition, essay writing competition were arranged for the students. Students concluded the program of the day by colourful and enjoyable Cultural Activities. Along with the Freedom Fighters, media personalities were also present to motivate the young minds.   

Stories have the capacity to engulf people in an inspiring world. Amra Manush Foundation with the campaign, “MUKTIR ITIHASH SHUNO” is walking towards the path of creating a young generation engulfed within the inspiring stories of the Liberation War of 1971, where they can be the light of tomorrow’s prospectus nation.
